EastIdahoNews.com is partnering with Ashley and Ashley Outlet of Idaho Falls to honor people in our community for Feel Good Friday. Every week, we surprise someone deserving of special recognition.

We recently received an email about a 3rd-grade teacher at Harold B. Lee Elementary in Dayton, who is the school’s longest-serving teacher. It said:

Mrs. Morrison is simply incredible! She loves and cares for each of her students and goes above and beyond to help them succeed. While in her classroom, my son has flourished not only academically, but also with his self-confidence. He entered her classroom well below grade level in reading and struggled to keep pace as a result. She believed in him, supported him, and helped him to develop the skills he was missing. As a result, he began to believe in himself. He is now thriving and reading above grade level.

We took a drive to Dayton to surprise Mrs. Morrison for Feel Good Friday. Check out the video in the player above!
