Road construction begins Thursday at Hitt Road, Lincoln Road intersection in Idaho Falls

The following is a news release from the City of Idaho Falls.
Beginning Thursday, June 4, Knife River will begin utility installation and roadway improvement work associated with the Riviera Park development on the northeast corner of Hitt Road (25th East) and Lincoln Road.
The work includes the installation of underground utilities and roadway upgrades to support the new development.
During this phase of construction, the right (outside) northbound lane on Hitt Road north of the Lincoln Road roundabout will be closed. All lanes entering and within the roundabout will remain open. However, motorists traveling northbound from the roundabout should be prepared to merge into a single lane shortly after exiting the intersection. The lane closure will extend north to the Grand Peaks Medical area.
Construction is expected to continue through the end of August, depending on weather and field conditions.
Drivers should watch for crews and equipment, obey all posted traffic control signs, and reduce speeds in the work zone to help ensure the safety of both workers and the traveling public.
Please note this is not a City of Idaho Falls project. The city is assisting in sharing this information to help notify the public of upcoming traffic impacts.
