Ammon Les Schwab donates tires to YMCA

IDAHO FALLS — Les Schwab Tire Center at 3807 South 25th East in Ammon is helping support the Idaho Falls YMCA’s Before & After School program.
The tire store provided and installed four new tires to YMCA’s childcare vehicle as part of its Tires for Purpose program, which supports other organizations by providing new tires for their company vehicles. YMCA marketing specialist Kim Schofield says the donation from Les Schwab will allow the YMCA to provide reliable transportation to and from school.
“Reliable transportation is an important part of how we serve working families in our community,” Schofield says. “This donation from Les Schwab helps us safely transport kids every day while reducing an expense that can instead be directed toward the programs and services our families rely on. We’re incredibly grateful for their support.”
“We try and show support to the community by delivering or installing new sets of tires on vehicles that may need it to help the community,” Ammon Les Schwab manager Andy Gallacher says.
Danny Kissik, the assistant manager, adds, “We’d like to give back and do our part. So, we give out free sets of tires and we call it our ‘Tires for Purpose’ program.”
This program supports local nonprofits by installing new tires for their company vehicles. These donations have included the Boys & Girls Club, the Star Food Bank, Helping Hearts & Hands, and the Kootenai County Fire and Rescue.
