In-N-Out holds prayer vigil for victims of Twin Falls shooting

TWIN FALLS (KMVT) – In-N-Out hosted a prayer vigil at its Twin Falls location Friday to honor the three people killed in Saturday’s shooting.

The vigil remembered Ashley Garibay of Stockton, California; Christopher Claunch of Hagerman; and Dale Schultz of Salt Lake City, Utah. In-N-Out invited anyone who wanted to attend to join the company and the community in honoring those who lost their lives.

Community members gathered to pray, remember the victims and stand together following the shooting. Twin Falls resident Greg Lanting attended the vigil.

“It’s just important that the community supports things like this and supports the families (to let them know that) there is support for their loved ones,” Lanting said.

Lt. Steven Gassert of the Twin Falls Police Department also spoke about the event.

“This means a lot to us,” Gassert said. “It gave us a chance to pause from our investigation and all the work that we’ve been doing in this incident … to reflect and also pay tribute to those who have been affected or lost their lives in this tragic incident.”

The vigil took place nearly a week after the shooting. For those who were unable to attend, fundraisers are planned in the coming days and donations for the victims can be made online.

In-N-Out reopened at 4:15 p.m. Friday in honor of the company’s launch at Baldwin Park on the same day and time 78 years ago.
