IDAHO FALLS — Teton Auto Group is expanding into Montana for the first time with the acquisition of two Bozeman car dealerships.
The Idaho Falls-based company announced it has acquired Audi of Bozeman and Volkswagen of Bozeman. The deal became effective Aug. 10 and also marks the first time Teton Auto Group has added the Audi luxury brand to its portfolio.
“This acquisition is an exciting milestone for our organization,” Teton Auto Group Chief Operating Officer Crystal Zmak said in a statement. “We’re not simply expanding our footprint — we’re welcoming an exceptional team that has already built something special.”
Company officials said the Bozeman dealerships are already established, award-winning operations with a loyal customer base and experienced employees.
As part of the acquisition, Brian Woodmansee will remain general manager and become a managing partner with Teton Auto Group.
Gibson Klaus, who has spent nine years with Teton Auto Group and most recently worked at Teton Honda, has been promoted to general sales manager and will relocate to Bozeman.
Zmak has also been appointed dealer of Audi of Bozeman and Volkswagen of Bozeman while continuing as Teton Auto Group’s chief operating officer.
“For years, our team has built strong relationships with our customers and a dealership we’re proud of,” Woodmansee said. “Joining Teton Auto Group allows us to build on that success with the support of an organization that shares our commitment to putting people first.”
Founded in Idaho Falls, Teton Auto Group says the acquisition is part of its continued strategic growth throughout the Intermountain West.
“This partnership represents the best of both organizations,” Zmak said. “By combining an already outstanding dealership with the resources, support and culture of Teton Auto Group, we’re creating an even stronger future for our employees, our customers and the communities we serve.”
