Caleb Flynn Trial Day 7 from Ohio: Police interview, extensive digital trail and both sides rest

Tonight on “Courtroom Insider,” both the prosecution and defense rest their cases, but not before jurors heard never-before-seen portions of a Caleb Flynn police interview.

Flynn described hearing what he believed were gunshots, running to the bedroom and finding his wife, Ashley, shot. Police pressed him about what happened inside the home and at one point told him, “The evidence is contrary to that.”

Then came a deep dive into the digital evidence. Investigators testified about communications between Flynn and his mistress, references to Ashley’s death or disappearance, discussions about deleting messages and more.

The defense pushed back, questioning investigators about evidence they did not examine, including Flock camera footage and gunshot-residue testing, while also highlighting messages and information that were not included in the state’s timeline.
