Local BBQ restaurant celebrating 15 years with cheap eats, prizes and more

REXBURG — A popular barbecue restaurant is celebrating 15 years in business with cheap eats, giveaways and a thank-you to the eastern Idaho community.
Blister’s BBQ will mark its 15th anniversary Tuesday, Sept. 8, by rolling back prices for the day. Customers can grab one of the restaurant’s signature pulled pork sandwiches for $6 and a side of fries for $1.
The restaurant, located at 26 E. Main Street in Rexburg, will also hold raffles and giveaways throughout the day. Prizes include limited-edition 15th anniversary T-shirts, hoodies and Blister’s BBQ gift cards.
“This 15-year milestone wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of our entire east Idaho community,” co-owner Brady Gardner said in a news release. “Offering these throwback prices and giveaways is just our way of saying thank you to everyone who has made us a local staple for a decade and a half.”

Gardner joked that the timing for lower prices isn’t bad, either.
“I think given the state of today’s economy, everyone could use a little throwback pricing here and there,” he said.
The anniversary celebration will run during the restaurant’s normal business hours, and customers are encouraged to arrive early for the specials and giveaways.
Gardner said reaching 15 years is particularly meaningful given the challenges that come with operating a restaurant.
“We absolutely love being a part of the fabric of this region and want people to know that we’re not going anywhere,” Gardner said. “Running a restaurant can be a tough business, but it’s made easier when you have a loyal widespread community like we do here in eastern Idaho, and we just want to acknowledge that.”
