Man taken to hospital after head-on crash near Rigby

RIGBY — A Rexburg man was rushed to the hospital after his car crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with an SUV carrying two people from France late Monday night, according to Idaho State Police.
The crash happened around 10:35 p.m. on U.S. Highway 20 near mile marker 324, north of Rigby.
Police say a 34-year-old Rexburg man was driving a 2003 Toyota Corolla eastbound when he crossed into the westbound lanes. The Corolla then collided head-on with the passenger side of a 2026 Subaru Forester traveling westbound.
The Forester was driven by a 39-year-old man from France, with a 32-year-old woman from France riding as a passenger. Neither was injured.
The Corolla driver was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. His condition was not released.
All three people involved were wearing seat belts, according to ISP.
The crash blocked the roadway for approximately two hours and remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
