BOISE (KIVI) — A woman died after an accident at the Western Idaho Fair on Sunday morning.

Officials with the Western Idaho Fair say she was on a horse, preparing for a competition, when the horse tripped. Bystanders reportedly started CPR before Ada County paramedics arrived. The woman went to Saint Alphonsus Medical Center in Boise for care, where she was later pronounced dead.

The Ada County Coroner’s Office issued a release Tuesday, identifying 82-year-old Jean Knowlton of Nampa as the victim of a fall from a horse. The report says she had blunt force trauma to the chest and abdomen.
