A college student brutally murdered inside her own apartment. A best friend who says she saw and heard nothing. A mysterious smear of blood on her finger. And a DNA trail that could be the key to solving a case that went cold for nearly a decade.

Tonight on Courtroom Insider, it’s day two of the trial for the murder of 19-year-old Faith Hedgepeth and we hear emotional testimony, a chilling 911 call, and intense questioning about what happened in the hours before her death.

The defense zeroed in on Faith’s roommate and best friend, questioning her about the night Faith disappeared, the blood she was seen with on her hand, and details surrounding the discovery of Faith’s body.

Other witnesses described the devastating scene inside the apartment, while jurors watched crime scene footage and heard from people who knew Faith.

Prosecutors say Miguel Salguero-Olivares was responsible for Faith’s killing, pointing to DNA evidence and his alleged connection to a gathering near the apartment complex. The defense maintains he is innocent and disputes the significance of the evidence.

We take you inside the courtroom for the testimony with Grace Wong and break down the evidence and key moments from day two.
