He does the dirtiest jobs with a smile. Now, this beloved school custodian gets a Feel Good Friday surprise
Published atEastIdahoNews.com is partnering with Smith Honda in Idaho Falls to honor people in our community for Feel Good Friday. Every week, we surprise someone deserving of special recognition.
We recently received an email about a custodian who has made a big difference at a few different schools in Bonneville Joint School District 93. The message said:
Jay has been the best janitor at Ammon Elementary. He recently transferred to Willow Creek Elementary this year. He does the grossest, nastiest jobs and he is always smiling and makes each student feel seen and loved. Jay is deaf and he brings candy, gives high fives, and writes notes on the boards. The best is when a student leaves an article of clothing at school, he hangs it on the wall with a note to make the students laugh. Jay is an integral part of our community and all the students know and love him.
We found out when Jay was working and surprised him for Feel Good Friday. Check it out in the video player above.
