IDAHO FALLS – A driver collided with another vehicle as he was changing lanes on Interstate 15, which resulted in injuries.

It happened Saturday around 6:30 p.m. at milepost 119.5 near Idaho Falls, according to a news release from Idaho State Police.

A 22-year-old man traveling with another 22-year-old man, both from Roseville, California, and a 22-year-old woman from Kasson, Minnesota — none of whom police identified by name — were in a 2005 Honda Accord in the northbound lane. The driver crossed the median to crossover into the southbound lane and hit the side of a 2024 Volkswagen Atlas. A 31-year-old woman from Roberts was driving the Atlas.

“The driver of the Volkswagen was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital. The occupants of the Honda had no apparent injuries and were not transported. All involved individuals were wearing their seatbelts,” Idaho State Police report in the release.

The right lane was blocked for about one hour and 45 minutes.

ISP says it is grateful to Idaho Falls police and the fire department for their assistance.
