IDAHO FALLS — An Idaho Falls man is being charged after reportedly arranging to sell marijuana to an undercover detective.

Casper Jax Fandry, 25, is charged with one felony count of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to manufacture, two felony counts of manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance, one felony count of drug trafficking marijuana, one misdemeanor count of use or possession of drug paraphernalia, and a felony enhancement for the use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony.

Fandry is being represented by a public defender. The Idaho State Public Defender’s office does not comment on pending cases.

According to court documents, Fandry allegedly arranged to sell marijuana to an undercover detective for $700.

On Sep. 10, Fandry stepped into the parking lot to complete the alleged drug deal, but was placed under arrest. A blue tote bag was searched, and officers reportedly found two bags of marijuana that weighed 228.5 grams.

Officers later searched his home, where they reportedly found a black backpack containing residue containers, multiple bags of marijuana, brass knuckles, 9mm bullets, a small digital scale and a prescription bottle under his name.

Though Fandry has been charged with these crimes, it does not necessarily mean he committed them. Everyone is presumed innocent until they are proven guilty.

Fandry is expected to appear on Oct. 14 for a preliminary hearing. If convicted, he could face up to life in prison.
