RUNAWAY PUMPKIN — Nothing says it’s Halloween-time like a huge inflatable pumpkin that was caught on camera rolling down a road.
The incident happened in North Carolina. The viral video, dated Oct. 11, 2026, shows the giant Halloween decoration cruising down a road.
“It’s coming so fast!” someone in a car recording the incident can be heard saying.
The car starts backing up as the pumpkin continues to roll down the street towards the vehicle.
Then, suddenly, a man appears and begins running toward the pumpkin.
“Oh, he’s going to get hurt,” someone else in the car says.
The man puts his hands on the pumpkin and tries to slow it down, but the pumpkin continues rolling.
“This would be so funny to see this in person,” one comment on the video reads.
The inflatable then goes across the street as cars are stopped waiting in both directions for the pumpkin to get out of the way.
The man trying to stop the inflatable grabs a part of it and keeps the pumpkin from rolling away. However, he still appears to need help handling the massive inflatable.
“I’m going to get out and help this guy,” the driver of the car says.
By the time the driver parks and walks over, another person had also shown up to help. The video then ends.
“As frightening as this can be for drivers, at the same time, it is hilarious!” one viewer wrote after watching the video.
