New glass and tint shop opens in quickly developing Pocatello area

POCATELLO – Interstate and highway travelers have a new place to stop for windshield and glass repairs in a part of the Gate City that’s growing quickly.
Elevate Glass and Tint is a new shop at 3950 South 5th Avenue, owned by Jeff Robinson and Megan Koeller. The owners signed a lease on the property Sept. 30 and have spent the past month, along with film specialist Parker Woolley, cleaning, painting and updating the building so that the quality of the building would reflect the quality of their work.
“We make sure we do everything to factory standards,” Robinson said. “We take great pride in the integrity of our work.”
Elevate handles automotive glass work, including window replacement and rock-chip repair, as well as window tinting and paint protection film. And while they can’t print custom designs in-house, they apply wraps, logos and other film graphics to vehicles.
The remodeling work, while not completely finished, has been extensive, with an exterior paint job, new flooring and a desk in the lobby area.

Before Robinson and Koeller signed the lease, they said they worked together for two years and “always had talked about potentially one day opening our own shop.” Later on, after Woolley left the job, Robinson approached him and told him about the venture.
“It was a long time coming,” Woolley said. “It’s been kind of a dream of ours for a long time, and it just came to fruition.”
The area where Elevate has opened is in the southernmost portion of Pocatello and one of its most underdeveloped areas, lacking sidewalks in many places and other important infrastructure.
But the owners see the location as a strong fit for the business. It’s close to Interstate 15 and U.S. Highway 91, making it convenient for drivers who have recently gotten a chip in their windshield to stop in.
They’ve also seen more construction in the area, meaning that more people will live nearby and potentially become customers.
Additionally, the city launched an urban renewal plan for the corridor, which will help bring needed infrastructure improvements over time.
“There’s apartments on both sides (of the interchange) going up everywhere, and just how fast this area is growing, all these businesses going up here. … So five years from now, I would imagine this area will be way more developed,” Robinson said.
Robinson and Koeller say anyone who would like to schedule an appointment at Elevate Glass and Tint or learn more about the business can call at 208-602-9119.
