New fire restriction information hotline established

BOISE — The Idaho Interagency Fire Partners has established a new hotline that will provide the public with fire restriction information at 1-844-ID-FIRES or 1-844-433-4737.

There are eight fire restriction areas in Idaho, some of them broken into smaller areas that might reflect different fuel type or elevation, according to a Bureau of Land Management news release.

The following are the eight fire restriction areas:

– Coeur d’Alene Fire Restriciton Area
– Grangeville Fire Restriction Area
– Payette Fire Restriction Area
– Wilderness Fire Restriction Area
– Boise Fire Restriction Area
– South Central Idaho Fire Restriction Area
– Central Idaho Fire Restriction Area
– Eastern Idaho Fire Restriction Area

The Idaho Fire Information website provides a detailed map of all the fire restrictions information, information on wildfire activities, county burn bans, burn permits, prevention and safety tips, aviation safety, smoke management and current fire weather.
