Family fun at Fall Festival in Hibbard

MADISON COUNTY — A local business is offering fall activities for the whole family.
The Tree House Nursery at 3265 West 2000 North in Hibbard is hosting its first ever Fall Festival.
The festival has several activities including a pumpkin patch, hay ride, corn pit, a fairy tale forest, treats and a pumpkin cannon.
The nursery has been in business for more than 20 years. Management at the family-owned and -operated business has been thinking about doing a pumpkin patch for a long time, said Max Clements, one of the nursery owners.
“We want it to be worth people’s while,” Clements said. “There is haunted everything. We wanted something fun for families.”
Max and his family plan to add other things to the festival in years to come, including a petting zoo. For now the stars of the festival are the corn pit, the pumpkin cannon and scones made by Max’s wife, Melanie.
Entry into the event is $3, and free to children ages 3 and younger. The event goes until Halloween. The hours are Wednesday to Friday from 3 p.m. to dark, and Saturday from 10 a.m. until dark.
