UPDATE: Preston Police find missing 8-year-old boy

The Preston Police Department says the child has been found safe.

The Idaho State Journal reports a safe and sound “Mikey” turned back up riding his bicycle in his neighborhood, according to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.

PRESTON — The Preston Police Department is looking for a missing child.

According to a post on the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, 8-year-old Richard “Mikey” Mendenhal was last seen riding his bike around noon in the area of 300 West Oneida in Preston.

Richard is wearing a black coat with a hood and blue jeans. He 4′ tall, 50 lbs, has rown hair and green eyes.

“We are asking people to be observant as you drive around town and check your own yards and property,” a message from the Sheriff’s Office reads.
