Josh Johnson

Josh Johnson is a proud east Idaho native who brings his deep community roots and extensive business experience to his role as account executive at East Idaho News. Since joining the team in 2018, Josh has dedicated himself to supporting local organizations through his oversight of in-kind advertising partnerships with prominent institutions including the Idaho Falls Symphony, Idaho Falls Arts Council, Idaho Falls Rescue Mission, Museum of Idaho and Ronald McDonald House.

As an active member of both the Rotary Club and Rize X, Josh demonstrates his commitment to community service through participation on various local boards and committees. His approach to business reflects his community-minded spirit – rather than viewing himself as a salesman, Josh sees his role as a solutions provider, helping clients leverage East Idaho News’ position as Idaho’s highest-ranked news website to achieve their business goals.

Before joining East Idaho News, Josh built a diverse career in customer service and operations, including roles as service manager/general manager at a Subaru dealership and a 19-year tenure as rental coordinator at Western States Caterpillar. This wealth of experience informs his current work, where he specializes in matching clients’ advertising needs with customized solutions for business growth.

A proud father of two, Josh’s son Benjamin works as a mechanical engineer at Piper Aircraft in Vero Beach, Florida, while his daughter Piper pursues pre-med studies at Dixie State in St. George, Utah. Josh makes his home in Idaho Falls with his partner, Deborah Chessey, and their rescue dogs, Kona and Lola. When not serving clients or the community, Josh can be found pursuing his passion for classic collecting Mercedes automobiles. He enjoys the outdoors fishing, hunting, camping and mountain biking the trails in East Idaho, St. George or in the Sawtooths. Josh loves enjoying good food and drink with his family and friends in Idaho’s beautiful outdoors.
