Man arrested after stabbing incident at Idaho Falls homeless shelter

IDAHO FALLS — An Idaho Falls man was arrested Sunday for allegedly stabbing another man.
Police reports show officers were dispatched to The City of Refuge, a men’s homeless center at 840 Park Ave., around 8:40 p.m. for a disturbance.
When officers arrived, they spoke with a man who told them he had been stabbed in the knee by another resident.
Using security camera footage, officers determined the victim had been stabbed by Eric S. Pizarro, 46, according to an Idaho Falls Police Department news release.
Pizarro was arrested on one count of felony aggravated battery by use of a deadly weapon. He was booked into the Bonneville County Jail.
The victim was treated by Idaho Falls EMS at the scene.
