Virgil Glenn Tedrow Jr., 47, of Blackfoot, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Bingham Memorial Hospital.

Virgil was born March 14, 1974 in Leesville, Louisiana to Virgil Glenn Tedrow and Norma Jean Snyder.

During his youth, Virgil’s family lived in Louisiana and Texas because his parents were in the service. The family moved to Blackfoot where he has resided since. He graduated from Blackfoot High School in 1991, then continued his education at Idaho State University.

On March 29, 2019, he married Roxanne Scott in Las Vegas, Nevada.

When Virgil was 18 years old he starting working for Haddon Appliances and worked for many years. Virgil later went to work for Basic American Foods. He started out as a Laborer and with his 25 years with the company he had moved his way to Fork Lift Driver, Maintenance Team Leader, eventually to Maintenance Engineer.

Virgil enjoyed riding Harleys, working on, running demolition derby cars and made this time a family event. He also enjoyed hunting and arm wrestling. He loved camping and going to concerts with Roxanne. Spending time with our grandchildren and helping anyone in need were his greatest joys. The man loved a good bon fire.

Virgil is survived by his wife, Roxanne of Blackfoot; his children Jessica Tedrow, Ariel Tedrow and Virgil Ryan Tedrow; stepchildren Katelynn Plaster, Nona Jolley, Gracie Padilla, Alex Padilla and he raised Moriah Snyder as his own daughter; his mother Norma Snyder; siblings, William Tedrow, Roy (Sheri) Snyder, Cora Snyder and Debbie Ramirez; and 7 grandchildren and one more on his way.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Tedrow.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 18, 2021 at the Hawker Funeral Home. The family will meet with friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 17, 2021 and again one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at the Grove City Cemetery.
