Getting your Trinity Audio player ready ...

Shanna Lanae Glover Wheeler, age 45, loving wife, mother, foster mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on April 18, 2022, after a 2 1/2 year courageous battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer. Shanna was born May 5, 1976, in Salt Lake City, UT to Blake and Teresa Glover and was the oldest of six children. She enjoyed playing the violin, downhill snow skiing, and white water rafting.

She graduated from Taylorsville High School in 1994, and attended Ricks College where she earned her associates degree in chemistry. After working for Southwest Airlines, she received her mission call for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, to the Rome Italy mission. During her mission she was able to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ and learned to love the Italian people and culture. While serving in Italy, she met an amazing fellow missionary, Brandon Douglas Wheeler. They exchanged letters for several months and when she returned home they became immediately engaged and were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple on February 12, 1999.

Blessed as a mother to 44 children, she had many opportunities to learn from them. The miracle of birth was given to her twice with her biological children, Tristan and Braxton Wheeler, and, through the miracle of adoption she was blessed with eight additional children, Nakona, DeShon, Omarion, Malajah, Cecilee, Ayden, Daveon, and Legend Wheeler. The remaining children and those she was not able to adopt, she learned and cared for them for different lengths of time, but loved them all as a mother should.

As an advocate for special needs children, Shanna worked with legislation and communities in Texas, to help improve children lives. She has loved serving with people in the many callings in the stakes and wards she has been a part of. Her Favorite calling was working in the Temple with her daughter. After moving to Idaho, while battling cancer, she enjoyed taking care of her chickens, spending time in her garden, and still loving white water rafting.

Shanna is survived by her husband of 23 years, Brandon Douglas Wheeler. Children; Nakona, Tristan, Braxton and wife Mallory, DeShon, Omarion, Malajah, Cecilee, Ayden, Daveon, and Legend. Parents; Teresa and Blake Glover, of Perry, UT, David and Lee Pratt of St. George, UT, Cathy Wheeler of Mesa, AZ. Proceeded in death by Douglas Wayne Wheeler.
