Mary Maud Wheeler
June 19th, 1932 - November 26th, 2022
Mary Maud Wheeler, 90, of Idaho Falls, passed away November 26, 2022, at her home. She was under the care of Inhabit Hospice.
Mary was born June 19, 1932, in Mackay, Idaho, to Peter Paul Nogues and Viola E. Ivie Nogues. She grew up and attended schools in Mackay, Idaho.
On June 3, 1949, she married Bruce Arnold Wheeler in the Idaho Falls Temple. Mary and Bruce made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many positions in the primary, camp director, Relief Society President and Young Women’s President. She enjoyed travel, snowmobiling, river running and socializing with her many friends.
Mary is survived by her husband, Bruce Arnold Wheeler of Idaho Falls, ID; Daniel A. (Ramona) Wheeler of Anderson Island, WA; son, Randall (Teresa) Wheeler of Idaho Falls, ID; son, daughter, Deanna (Jay B.) Smith of Rexburg, ID; daughter, Donna Jean Gaskill of Mackay, ID; daughter, Kathy (David) Fair of Midvale, UT; sister, LaMona (Raymond) Fullmer of Mackay, ID; brother, Dick (Nancy) Nogues of Paul, ID; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Nogues of Huntsville, AL, and Clair Nogues of Warner, NH; and 19 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter Nogues and Viola Stuzman; brothers, John Nogues, Martin Nogues, Fred Harding, and Virgil Harding.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the Idaho Falls Mountain View Ward, 1450 Mountain View Lane in Idaho Falls, with Alan Harrison officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday evening from 6-7:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior at the church. Services will be broadcast live at www.woodfuneralhome.com. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
