No Movies Opening in Wide Release Friday
Published at(NEW YORK) — There are no movies opening in wide release on Friday. However, you still have a few new options to choose from, since three films debuted on Christmas Day.
One of them, Les Miserables, earned a shade over $30 million during its first two days of release, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Quentin Tarantino flick Django Unchained raked in a total of $25 million on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The third Christmas Day release, the Billy Crystal-Bette Midler comedy Parental Guidance, scored $10.6 million during its first two days in theaters.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey has won the last two weekends at the box office.
