Mary Regan

Mary Louise Regan, 80, of Idaho Falls, passed away at home under the care of her loving family on April 4, 2023.

Mary was born April 8, 1942, in Riverton, Wyoming, to Glenn Thayer and Louise Beekman Thayer. She grew up and attended school in Shoshoni, Wyoming.

She was married to Dan Charles Regan on December 22, 1961, and had two sons Dan and Bobby. When the boys were young, they moved their family to Idaho Falls, which they ultimately called home, and where Mary worked as a caregiver.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed doing anything that kept her hands and mind busy such as cross stitching and word searches.

Mary is survived by her loving sons Dan Regan, Jr. of Idaho Falls, ID, and Bob (Wendy) Regan of Meridian ID; brothers, Gary (Lou Ann) Thayer of Sheridan, WY, and Terry (Rojean) Thayer of Mesquite, NV; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was proceeded in death by her husband, Dan Charles Regan Sr.; father, Glenn Thayer; mother, Louise Beekman Thayer; brothers, Ralph Thayer, Steven Thayer, Ricky Thayer, and Gail Thayer.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2023, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Lander, Wyoming.
