Zola Elaine Elizabeth Jorgensen, 93, passed away May 8, 2023 at Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Zola was born November 17, 1929 in Spring Canyon, Utah, to Kje Ejnar Jorgensen and Leah Dorthea Christensen Jorgensen. She attended schools in Wales and Moroni, Utah. She graduated from Snow College and Utah State Agricultural College with a degree in Home Economics Education and took post-graduate classes at Brigham Young University. After graduation, Zola taught Home Economics at Wahlquist Jr. High School in Weber County, Utah, and was a secretary at Westinghouse Electric Corp. at INEL.

On August 3, 1952 Zola married Andrew Lee Jorgensen at Moose, Wyoming, and started a family. Together they raised four children. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple on April 11, 1970.

As an accomplished seamstress, she performed custom sewing and alterations while raising her children, then worked at LeVine dress shop and ZCMI. She enjoyed teaching and taught Intermediate and Advanced Sewing at Ricks College and cooking classes for Adult Education and Church classes. She was active in PTA, a Cub Scout Den Mother, a 4H leader for ten years, and was a volunteer at St. Marks Sandwich Kitchen and a docent for the Museum of Idaho. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she worked in the Primary, Sunday School, and Relief Society organizations and the Family History program.

Zola and Andrew Lee served a mission to Ghana, West Africa, and worked in the Baptistry of the Idaho Falls Temple.

She is survived by her sons, Hans Andrew (Julie Gaye) and Paul Douglas; and her daughters, Zoe Ann and Kathleen.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Lincoln Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue in Idaho Falls. Burial in Lincoln Cemetery.
