IDAHO FALLS — Sisters Christina Stutzman and Ali Wilde of Idaho Falls are once again inviting people of all ages to audition for the annual Idaho Falls Got Talent competition.

The contest will pit singers, magicians, dancers and other entertaining acts against one another, with cash prizes on the line. Finals will be held Nov. 2, but now is the time to get audition recordings in.

Stutzman and Wilde started Idaho Falls Got Talent in 2019. They wanted to bring the fun of their experience at America’s Got Talent to the Idaho Falls community.

“It has been a lot of fun,” Wilde told EastIdahoNews.com.

However, organizing the event hasn’t been without its challenges.

People are “so distracted” these days, the duo says it can be difficult to interest them in a competition like this. Stutzman and Wilde are hoping the public is ready to once again step out and have some fun this year.

A talent competition is a great way to break out of your routine, they say.

“I think it’s a good way to come out of your shell and show the community your talents,” Stutzman said about competing. “Honestly, it’s just a huge confidence boost and a lot of fun. You meet a lot of new friends and you see all the talent that’s in the town that you never would have thought (about).”

Wilde and Stutzman encourage people of all ages and “any kind of talent” to audition. Anyone who wants to audition must submit a video audition by Friday, Oct. 20. Submissions only need to be 60-seconds long, and can be texted to Wilde at (208) 589-9412.

A $10 audition fee does apply.

Hopefuls will be notified on Saturday if they are being invited to the main event on Nov. 2. The competition will be held at Taylorview Middle School, 350 Castlerock Lane, in Idaho Falls.

And if you’re just not someone who can perform in front of others, come support those who are performing.

“Idaho Falls has tons of talent and everyone needs to come out and watch,” Wilde said.

For more information, call Wilde at (208) 589-9412.
