CHUBBUCK — A Chubbuck man is facing felony charges after threatening a family member with a firearm, according to a news release from the Chubbuck Police Department.

Chubbuck Police officers, responding to a report of a disturbance, arrived at the 1000 block of Pinewood Avenue just before 11 a.m. on Friday morning, officials said. Once on site, the officers spoke with the person who called in the disturbance.

“(Officers) learned that a 40-year-old male, identified as Eric Lissy, had threatened a family member with a firearm,” officials stated in the release.

Lissy reportedly had been involved in a separate disturbance involving his girlfriend on Thursday.

Officers found Lissy “hiding in an outbuilding on the property,” officials said. He was arrested without further incident and will be booked into the Bannock County Jail. Lissy has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault.

Although he has been charged with these crimes, it doesn’t necessarily mean Lissy committed them. Everyone is assumed innocent until proven guilty.
