Carol McClaskey
April 8th, 1953 - January 22nd, 2024
Carol Florence McClaskey, 70, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 22, 2024, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital. She was under the care of One Source Hospice.
Carol was born April 8, 1953, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Uriel Freemond Ames and Fay Velloy Ames. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls.
On February 3, 1970, she married Michael Jack McClaskey in Utah. Carol and Michael made their home in Idaho Falls, where Carol worked as a nurse for Riverview Hospital.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed listening to music (Elvis), western shows, and working on the farm. She took great care of her sister with special needs.
Carol is survived by her son, Kenneth Frank (April) McClaskey of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Chris McClaskey of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Geni (Kevin) McClaskey of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Tudy Peterson of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Toni (Howard) Ellis of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Sherry (Morris) Waters of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Yogi Ames of Idaho Falls, ID; 7 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Jack McClaskey; sister, Kitten Ames; father, Uriel Freemond Ames; and mother, Fay Velloy Richardson of ID.
Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday January 29, 2024, at Ammon Cemetery (2550 E. Sunnyside). The family will visit with friends at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. prior to services.
