Reece Burke
April 15th, 1954 - May 21st, 2024
Reece Wade Burke, 70, of Rigby, passed away May 21, 2024, at his home. He was under the care of Alliance Home Health and Hospice and his loving family.
Reece was born April 15, 1954, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Rulon Burke and Carol Hall. He grew up and attended schools in Arco, Idaho, and graduated from Arco High School.
He farmed in Arco until he was 25, and then started an electrical apprenticeship. He worked as a union electrician for 42 years in Idaho, California, Nevada, and Alaska.
He was a member of the IBEW. He enjoyed woodworking and sewing.
Reece is survived by his son, Rhett (Rita) Burke of Rigby, ID; son, Roy Burke; daughter, Tara (Jim) Mitchell of Cleburne, TX; daughter, Stephanie (Richard) Richardson of Pocatello, ID; daughter, Lynleigh (Justin) Colvin of Rigby, ID; stepfather, Jerry Scouten; and 16 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ryan Burke; sister, Renda Burke; brother, Craig Burke; and sister, Marci Burke.
A gathering will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 31, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road.
