Scott Bynum
February 10th, 1949 - July 17th, 2025
Scott Bynum, 76, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at his home in Arco, Idaho.
He was born on February 10, 1949, in Gridley, California to Tex and Bobby Patterson Bynum. He was raised and attended schools in California before enlisting into the United States Army. Scott served his country during the Vietnam War where he served in Vietnam, Korea and Georgia.
Scott was married to “C.C.” and Sandy and enjoyed many wonderful years together.
After a successful career in Telecommunications, he moved to Arco, Idaho where he ran the Sawtooth Bar for a handful of years. He loved trapshooting, cutting firewood, fishing in SE Alaska, classic cars, trucks, guns, his dogs and enjoyed a beer with friends at the bars. Scott was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Elks Lodge and the NRA.
Surviving are his three children, Tony, Charlie, and Francis; five grandchildren, Samual, Brian, Katie, Tony and Elijah; three great grandchildren and Betsy (II). He was preceded in death by his longtime 4-legged companions, Betsy and Dakota; his wives, “C.C.” and Sandy; a brother Phil and his parents Tex Bynum and Bobby Holland.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Mello Dee Club in Arco, Idaho from 2:00 p.m. until ??? Arrangements are under the care of the Anderson Family Funeral Home.
