How lucky are we to have had someone that made saying goodbye so hard. Glenn Edward George passed on August 19, 2025, enlightened by the love he amassed over the years.

Born February 15, 1938, to Cyril and Fea George in Idaho Falls, Idaho, Glenn was the baby of the brood, however, that didn’t stop him from living life one’s own sweet way. Growing up with a strong intent that hard work and initiative would open doors that talent alone could not, he shaped his path toward success and self-reliance.

He married his love, Adele, in 1959, with the union growing into a beautiful family of daughters, each one carrying an undeniable quality of their father. Glenn was the exception as his gruff warmth and empathetic compassion made him the man we all knew and loved, never afraid to speak his thoughts or experiences. No one could walk away without learning something “neat” from Glenn. He had a passion for the outdoors and all it had to offer, it was where he felt reverent. Through river guiding, photography, wood working, farming, and gardening, he spent his life embracing the small joys, all alongside his family, encouraging others to do the same.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Adele; brother, Patrick (Heidi) George; daughters, Camille (Gene) Westwood, Michelle (Dan) Sakota, Bobette George, Monique (Jerry) Purcell; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Predecessors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cyril George; sister, Delphine George; daughter, Adele George.

Please join us in celebrating the life of Glenn at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. Visitation will be open with family from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, and again on Saturday, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Condolences may be sent to the family at www.woodfuneralhome.com
