IDAHO FALLS — Employees of Idaho National Laboratory evacuated a building after a minor steam explosion occurred Monday evening.
Idaho Falls Police Department spokeswoman Jessica Clements says the explosion was initially reported around 4:30 p.m. at 750 MK Simpson Boulevard.
Employees had evacuated themselves by the time emergency responders arrived. No one was injured.
Clements says the steam explosion occurred due to a piece of equipment falling. No fires or damage were caused by the incident.
Authorities have since cleared the area.
