Dr. Steven Jacob Adams, age 46, of Shelley, Idaho, passed away tragically on November 27, 2025, as the result of a car accident.

Born on November 12, 1979, in Shelley, Idaho, to Steven Douglas Adams and Tammy Landon Adams, Steve grew up in Shelley alongside four younger brothers. After graduating from Shelley High School, he worked in logging and construction before serving a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ontario, Canada. Upon returning home, he married the love of his life, Celeste Beck, in the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple.

Steve pursued higher education with determination, earning degrees from Idaho State University and Des Moines University, followed by a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. He acquired OB/GYN Associates of Idaho Falls, where he devoted his career to delivering newborns and providing compassionate care to his patients, whom he treated as friends. He took great pleasure in working closely with—and occasionally teasing—his dedicated staff. Through his skill and dedication, he touched countless lives, saved many, and brought new life into the world.

Steve is survived by his wife, Celeste; their five children, Cannon Jacob Adams, Karlee Celestia Astle (Gavin), Maddilyn Stella Adams, Hendrix David Adams, and Lincoln Neil Adams; his parents, Steve and Tammy Adams of Shelley; his grandmother, Arlene Adams; his brothers, Bradley Adams (Jennifer), David Adams (Jaime), Nicholas Adams (Natalia), and Darren Adams (Lacey); his mother-in-law, Karen Beck; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert Beck Jr. (Jennifer), ReNae Gibbons (Cliff), Lynette Jarvis (Ron), David Beck (Pam), and Lloyd Beck. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by Robert Beck, Douglas Adams, Jennifer Mackintosh, and Ray and Verlene Landon.
