Daniel “Danny” Buzzard

Daniel “Danny” Albert Buzzard, 41, of Ammon, passed away November 26, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family and friend. He was under the care of Aspen Home Health & Hospice and his loving family.

Danny was born May 30, 1984, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Michael James Buzzard Sr. and Connie Lou Switzer Buzzard. He lived in Magna, Utah, until his family moved to Shelley, Idaho, where he graduated from Shelley High School.

He was part of the Journeys Developmental Agency community and a member of the LDS church.

Danny was an amazing survivor as he had outlived all doctor expectations. He had Cerebral Palsy and was bound to a wheelchair with one working hand. He had many obstacles in his life, lots of surgeries, and always came through with that heart-melting smile and thumbs up. Everyone who had a chance to meet him, instantly loved him. He had too many “girlfriends” to count–he was sure a ladies man.

He loved Batman, Utah Jazz, KFC, fried chicken, bowling on the Wii (last game was 158), fishing, Hot Wheels, Eeyore, and crafts. He loved doing crafts and coloring with his care givers. He loved hats and wearing sunglasses–he knew he was looking good.

He lived at his own home with very special care givers and his buddy (roommate), Raymond.

Whether he was bowling, being lifted by a crane to go swimming (yes, really), being tugged behind bicycles as a kid in his wheelchair, eating his favorite Snickers and drinking Dr. Pepper….he was always part of every adventure, nothing was impossible due to his disabilities.

When asked what he wanted to eat after being in the hospital for a month, he said “Macaroni and cheese, and some freakin’ mash potatoes.” That ended up being his last meal. He kept his sense of humor until the end, and left everyone with some great memories.

Danny is survived by his father, Michael Buzzard Sr. of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Michael (Michele) Buzzard of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Jennifer (Michael) Green of Erda, UT; and brother, Matthew (Margeritte) Buzzard of Idaho Falls, ID.

He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Tyler (McKaily), Katie, Garrett, Josh, Eric, Nathan, Beau, Trever, Wilson, Carter J; and great nieces, Bentlee, Dalila, and Stella.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Connie Buzzard; grandparents, James and Frieda Buzzard; grandparents, Glen and Louella Shephard; and sister, Katherine Buzzard.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends and family from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the funeral home.
