A Secret Santa surprises a single mom at a craft store and pays off her mortgage
Published atA local Secret Santa is giving $1 million to deserving people in eastern Idaho this holiday season. Every day, from now until the end of the year, the East Idaho News elves will be delivering gifts from Secret Santa and we’ll be sharing the surprise videos here.
Kym has spent her life working to ensure her children never went without and she has always prided herself on managing without asking for assistance.
Though her son now lives independently, a disability prevents him from driving, and Kym routinely transports him wherever he needs to go.
Recently, changes to Medicare have made it increasingly difficult for her to make ends meet. Living on a fixed income and carrying about $7,000 in remaining payments on her home, Kym has quietly shouldered mounting financial pressure.
Those who know her say she is constantly giving to others and rarely, if ever, asks for anything in return.
A Secret Santa asked the East Idaho News elves to visit Kym and surprise her with an early Christmas gift. Check out the video in the player above!
