Charlene Wright Lindstrom, 80, of Grays Lake, Idaho, passed away on December 23, 2025. She was born on April 27, 1945, in St. Anthony, Idaho, to John Franklin and Barbara Elizabeth (Hardy) Wright.

Charlene grew up in Idaho and graduated from Sugar Salem High School in 1964. Shortly after, she proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for three years, stationed in Quantico, Virginia, where she worked as a telephone operator and achieved the rank of Lance Corporal.

Charlene was blessed with three children: Wendy Gae Wright, Amy Lynn Wright, and Joseph John Hanson. She worked hard to provide for her family and later married Varden Lindstrom in 1982. Together, they built a life in Grays Lake, where they operated a ranch and were active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Charlene and Varden later divorced in 2009. She moved in with her daughter, Amy, in Idaho Falls. In 2009, Charlene started working with the Foster Grandparents Program. Charlene was very devoted to working with the teachers at Dora Erickson and the children over the years. In November of 2022, Charlene decided to leave the Foster Grandparents Program to visit her daughter Wendy and granddaughter Chrystal in Las Vegas. Charlene decided to reside in Las Vegas with her family.

She will be remembered for her strength and devotion to family and faith. Charlene loved the beauty of Idaho and the community she called home.

Charlene is survived by her two daughters, numerous grandchildren, and 4 siblings. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Jeanie, and her son Joseph.
