Terry Bissinger Obituary

It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our sweet, beloved daughter, mama and nana, Terry Ann Bissinger.

Terry Ann Bissinger was born on February 11, 1947 in Pendleton, Oregon, the daughter of Roy and RuthAnn (Hartle) Bissinger.

Terry Ann was raised on the family wheat ranch where she could be found running around with her animals, cousins and friends. She loved her dolls, books, records and all of the animals, especially her dog, Tucky. She loved to socialize and have fun and was involved with many clubs and organizations including Bluebirds, 4H, sorority, pep club, and theater often serving in leadership roles. She won the citizenship award her senior year. She enjoyed high school and graduated from Pendleton High School in 1965. She was happily involved in planning class reunions. She attended BMCC in Pendleton.

Terry Ann married Larry Duncan in Pendleton in 1967. They made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They welcomed daughter Roxann Lynn in 1969 and daughter Mindy (Melinda) Jill in 1971. They were later divorced.

Terry Ann made every holiday and occasion special. She loved decorating for holidays, painting ceramics, embroidery, crafts, reading, bowling, traveling, cats and she was a talented, busy cake decorator. She also taught cake and candy decorating classes. She loved the color purple, especially lavender. She loved cats, pansies, wine and sending greeting cards. She mostly enjoyed her family and was always there for her daughters and 9 grandsons. She always made sure we all had books to read. She was always involved with her daughters’ activities and schools. Terry Ann was a loyal friend. Terry Ann was a loving, positive person and was generous to a fault. She was uplifting to everyone and would light up the room with her beautiful smile, bright sparkling brown eyes and quick laughter. T-Ann(family nickname) always took care of everyone. She gave everything generously. She worked various jobs throughout her life that always involved assisting people and most enjoyed owning/operating a bookstore in Pendleton after returning there in 1995.

In 1985 Terry Ann remarried and eventually moved back to Pendleton and then Richland, Washington. She spent much of her time being a caretaker. She drove back and forth weekly to spend time with her mother.

Late in life she was reunited with her biological brother, Roger and his family and enjoyed getting to know them.

Terry Ann became increasingly ill with Parkinson’s disease and Lewy Body Dementia and moved to Orofino where Mindy began taking dedicated, amazing care of her. After a few years, they returned to Pendleton where Terry Ann felt at home and she was near her mother. On January 19, 2026, with her daughters by her side, the cruel diseases stole her away.

Terry Ann was preceded in death by her father, Roy Bissinger, brother Trace Bissinger, brother Roger Adams and numerous family and friends.

She leaves her mother; RuthAnn Bissinger, daughters; Roxann (Scott) Law, Mindy (Kelly) Watkins, grandsons; Colton, Cody, Kade, Wyatt, Ryan, Logan, Nolan, Jase and Weston, great-grandchildren; Kristopher, Samuel, Amara, Quinnzley and Harper.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 1:00pm at Hamley’s Cattle Baron room, 8 SE Court Ave, Pendleton, OR.

In lieu of flowers please send donations to Parkinson’s research.
