Elizabeth Johnson
May 10th, 1958 - December 19th, 2025
Anne Elizabeth Johnson, 67, of Idaho Falls, passed away on December 19, 2025, at her home, of natural causes.
Elizabeth was born May 10, 1958, in Blackfoot, ID, to Gaylan Max and Gloria Dean Woodland Johnson.
The following memories were shared by her family.
My wonderful sister Elizabeth. I am her younger brother by 2 years. Growing up, she always treated me great, even though being a younger sibling. I have something I would like to share. Around 2010, I was visiting with Mom and asked her what this memory is I have of when I was little, walking down a road, then going into a gas station, then riding in a police car, and pulling up to our house, and you coming out. Oh, and I peed my pants and left a big wet spot on the police car seat. Mom, surprised, said, “YOU remember that”? I said yes, what is it? Is it real? She said yes, it is, and you were almost 2. (Happened summer 1962) Mom said what had happened was that she dropped us kids off at the sitter’s house, and the sitter’s kid had blamed me about something, and Elizabeth, who was 4 at the time, told the sitter that I did not do what her kids said I did, and if she did spank me, she was going to take me home. The sitter did, and Mom said that when the sitter was not watching, Elizabeth got me to take me home. The sitter found we were missing, called the police, and Mom & Dad. Everybody was looking for us. While we were walking on the road, Elizabeth took me into the gas station because I needed to go to the bathroom. That is when the police came and picked us up and took us home. My wonderful, fantastic, beautiful sister protected her little brother. She was always as helpful in any way she could be. I always noticed how she not only treated me great, but everyone I saw her around. She would give the shirt off her back to help or lift someone. Elizabeth was always enjoyable to visit with. She has very strong opinions and was great at expressing them. Her laugh was contagious. Elizabeth is a wonderful person who treated people with love and respect. What was fun is if anyone tried something they shouldn’t with her or someone else around her, she was not afraid whatsoever to let them know. That was fantastic. She is a great mother, a great example to her son Jasper, and loved him more than anything else in this world. I enjoyed watching her raise, Jasper. Jasper is very blessed to have had Elizabeth for his mother. I love her so much and miss her. Looking forward to the day when I will see her again and hear her wonderful laugh. Love little brother Steve.
From the sisters, Elizabeth was the best sister anyone could ask for. The kindest, most giving person we knew, wherever she went, she made it fun. If it was going somewhere she usually drove, she loved to drive. She loved going to the movies, getting together with friends and family, playing cards and dice, and her saying and rule, “name calling is legal” while playing. She loved playing pool and was very good at it. Always offered to help shampoo carpets before and after you moved in. Very mechanically inclined and loved taking it apart; most would work again. Us sisters in the past have all shared a house with her, we all enjoyed and have many memories of good times with her. She raised her son the right way, and Lanette says you won the trophy of “Best Mom.” I love you, big Sis! The most amazing mother anyone could have, and she was mine. She was not only my Mom but also my Dad, who had more tools and cool gadgets than some men. She taught me the things in life that I need to know, to be the person I am today, and will keep striving, as I know she is watching over me. I will keep making you proud! Gone too soon, we will see each other again, and on that day I’ll be able to wrap my arms around you! I love you so much.
