Phyllis Woolsey Davids, 96, of Menan, Idaho, passed away on March 18, 2026, at Sage Grove Assisted Living Center, in Rigby, Idaho. Phyllis was born December 1, 1929, in Wilford, Idaho, to Harold Woolsey and Zell Harrison Woolsey, in her grandmother’s home. Phyllis had one older sister, Donna. She grew up in the Wilford, Sugar City, St. Anthony area and attended school in Sugar City.

Around 1947, Phyllis moved to Portland, Oregon, to live with her Dad. While there, she met Rex Davids, an Idaho boy recently home from World War I, who was staying with his sister.

These Idaho kids returned home and were married in the Idaho Falls Temple on July 9, 1948.

Rex began working for the Union Pacific Railroad which required moving to many cities including Salt Lake, Victor, Drummond, Pingree, Dayton, Las Vegas, Nampa, Shelley, St. Anthony and Menan. Phyllis worked in a drug store, as a waitress and at JC Penney’s. Once settled in Menan, Idaho, she worked in the lab and on the scales for Idaho Fresh Pak then became a rural carrier for the US Postal Service. She delivered mail in the Roberts and Menan area for many years.

Phyllis had many hobbies including pheasant and deer hunting, fishing, bowling, cheering for the Utah Jazz, but mostly golfing. She spent countless hours at Jefferson Hills and was on the ladies’ league. She loved golfing in tournaments. Phyllis was an excellent baker, often making bread and pies. Phyllis was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, served as a visiting teacher and in her later years attended the temple.

She is survived by three sons; Gene Davids of Ammon; Kim (Marcene) Davids of Rigby;

David (Debbie) Davids of Ririe; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, sister, and a grandson.

Services will be held on Monday, March 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in the Menan L.D.S. Chapel, 3547 E. Menan-Lorenzo Hwy. The family will meet with friends prior to the funeral from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be at the Annis Little Butte Cemetery.
