Obituary
Cameron Slade Bowcutt
May 16th, 1998 - March 27th, 2026
Cameron Slade Bowcutt, 27, passed away on March 27, 2026, at his home under the care of his family, Ambitions, and hospice. He was born May 16, 1998, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Jared and Kris Bowcutt.
Cameron was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho, alongside his sister, Ashlee. He loved spending time outdoors with his family—camping, fishing, skiing, and especially hunting with his dad. Cameron had a spirited, lively personality—a trait lovingly attributed to his mother’s side of the family. He brought a sense of adventure to everyday life. Once, after deciding he’d had enough time riding the go kart, he simply drove home and unintentionally left his dad stranded in a cold field.
On another occasion, while exploring a chilly Idaho creek, he and his dad shared a memorable moment as his dad held him by the feet and dipped his head in to “check the water temperature.” These stories became treasured family memories that perfectly captured Cameron’s playful nature and the bond he shared with those he loved.
Throughout his life, Cameron had a remarkable ability to positively influence the people he met. His caretakers developed a deep affection for him, with some even choosing new career paths because of the meaningful experiences they shared with him.
Cameron was not dealt an easy life, but he taught all of us the importance of never losing our smile. Even when he had every reason not to, he held onto his laughter, his humor, and his unmistakable sarcasm. He always found a way to see the good in life and make the most of every moment.
Cameron was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Bill Bowcutt and Verge Kelsey; his grandmother, Donna; and his uncle, Wally Bowcutt. He is survived by his loving parents, Jared and Kris Bowcutt; his sister, Ashlee Bowcutt, and her family—Colt, Kasen, and Kira—as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins who cherished him deeply.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone, past and present, who played a role in Cameron’s care.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First Street, Idaho Falls. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.coltrinmortuary.com.
