Raelene Faye Hardin passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026, in Taylorsville, Utah. Raelene was born September 12, 1953, in Cascade, Idaho, to Jack Kantola and Edith Lewis Kantola. She graduated from McCall Donnelly High School in 1971, and then attended Conquerors Bible College in Portland, Oregon and graduated with a certificate in Christian Education.

Raelene married Brent Hardin on November 13, 1976, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. At the time, Raelene worked in the repair department for Mountain Bell. Raelene put her education to good use running a daycare in their home and teaching Sunday School over the years. Raelene and Brent attended The Mountain Church in Sandy, Utah, where she was active in children’s ministry.

Raelene is survived by her husband of 49 years, Brent, of Taylorsville. They had four children: Eric Hardin (Autumn) of Pocatello, Idaho, Mandy Bynum (Christopher) of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Matt Hardin (Kendra) of Pocatello, Idaho, and Darren Hardin (KayLynn) of Mapleton, Utah. Her grandchildren were her world. She had 12 total: 7 boys Owen, Oliver, Landon. Judah, Cyrus, Ryker, and Tyler, and 5 girls Daedrie, Ella, Mercedes, Brooklyn, and Annabelle.
