Yvonne Kendall Searle passed away in Salt Lake City, Utah, on June 14, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She has been reunited with her beloved husband, LaMar, whom she missed greatly for almost 25 years.

Yvonne was born on January 14, 1952, in American Falls, Idaho, to Dean J. Kendall and Ardella Wells. She was the youngest of three children. Growing up, Yvonne and her older sisters, LaDene and Vicki, were affectionately known by everyone in the area as “Dean’s girls.” Yvonne was baptised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when she was twelve years old and lived a life dedicated to her faith from that point on.

Yvonne graduated from Aberdeen High School and went on to attend Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho. She graduated with an Associates Degree in Interior Design and always loved decorating and rearranging her home. While in college, Yvonne met her best friend and eternal companion, LaMar James Searle. They dated until LaMar left to serve a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in New Zealand. Yvonne is known for fondly telling everyone that she didn’t wait for him to return from his two year mission but everyone knew that she had and after he returned—and as soon as the fall farm harvesting was done—the couple was married for time and all eternity on November 19, 1973, in the Idaho Falls temple.

Together, LaMar and Yvonne raised five children in Terreton, Idaho. LaMar owned a John Deere dealership, and Yvonne was right by his side, helping him run the business for many years. Following LaMar’s early passing on November 21, 2001, Yvonne relocated to Shelley, Idaho, where she spent the last 23 years living near family.

Yvonne loved serving others throughout her life, whether in a personal capacity or in her callings in her church and later completed a full-time mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Wichita, Kansas.

She had a passion for camping, traveling, and sewing. As a young mother, she sewed all of her children’s clothing and is also known for her love for crocheting and quilting. Yvonne spent many summers at her large family reunion camping and spending time with her extended family. Yvonne turned her love for sewing into a job, working for a minky company where she sewed blankets. In her later years, she used these talents to make blankets for her children and grandchildren. She also cherished her loyal dog, Missy, who was her companion for many years and Yvonne was always putting little ponytails on the dogs head. Yvonne was a helper at heart and was known by all for always asking, “Let me know if there is anything you need!” and always helping others.

More than anything, Yvonne loved her family. She is survived by her children: Mandy (Mike Rady), Cody Searle (Megan), Nickolas Searle (Tanys), Dustin Searle, and Colleen Smith (Ben). She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren: Tucker Rady, Coledyn Searle (Rhyan), Kenasyn Searle, Kreid Searle, Austin Rady, Ryker Searle, Navey Searle, Bryson Rady, Brooklyn Searle, Archer Searle, Rush Searle, and Paisley Rady.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LaMar Searle, her parents and her grandson Harry Searle.
