Sheriff’s office responds to threat called in at Idaho Falls Community Hospital

IDAHO FALLS — The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office responded to a threat called in to Idaho Falls Community Hospital on Wednesday morning and determined there was no threat to the public or patients, according to the news release from the sheriff’s office.

The hospital received a call just before 8 a.m. from someone indicating they were on their way to the hospital to cause harm, according to the release.

Deputies responded to the hospital, having staff and patients remain in their rooms while the building was checked. Deputies worked with hospital administration and determined there was no active threat, and the hospital resumed normal operations within the hour, according to the release.

Deputies are continuing to investigate and will patrol the complex.
