IDAHO FALLS – Thanks to the generous support of local sponsors Travis Spencer, Stephanie Dunn, and I.E. Productions, the Idaho Falls Arts Council, in partnership with the Idaho Falls Zoo and Funland, is excited to announce a free Party in the Park featuring nationally touring family band Big Bang Boom.
It’s happening on Wednesday, July 15, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Funland in Tautphaus Park. The outdoor dance party follows Big Bang Boom’s two ticketed performances at ARTitorium on Broadway in the M.C. Theatre:
- Tuesday, July 14 at 6 p.m.
- Wednesday, July 15 at 10 a.m.
Known for their energetic blend of parent-friendly children’s music—often called “kindie rock”, Big Bang Boom delivers an interactive concert experience filled with singing, dancing, laughter, and audience participation that entertains children and adults alike.
The two theatrical performances offer the complete Big Bang Boom experience in an intimate concert setting. Families are encouraged to purchase tickets to enjoy the band’s full interactive show.
For families who are unable to attend one of the ticketed performances, the free Party in the Park provides a fun opportunity to experience Big Bang Boom’s high energy music while celebrating summer with the community. Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of music, dancing, and family fun at historic Funland.
Before, during, and following the concert, Funland will remain open until 8 p.m., giving families even more time to enjoy the park’s recently renovated attractions, including the new Log Hut Café.
“This is a band we’ve been very excited to bring to Idaho Falls,” said Gray Augustus, Executive Director of the Idaho Falls Arts Council. “There aren’t many concerts created specifically for families with young children where parents have just as much fun as the kids. Big Bang Boom has an incredible ability to get everyone singing, dancing, and laughing together. We hope families will join us for one of the full performances at ARTitorium to experience everything the band has to offer, but we’re also excited to provide this free community dance party so anyone who can’t make the theater shows can still get a taste of the fun.”
The Party in the Park reflects the shared commitment of the Idaho Falls Arts Council, the Idaho Falls Zoo, and Funland to provide memorable, accessible family experiences that bring the community together through music, recreation, and the arts.
Tickets for Big Bang Boom’s full performances at ARTitorium on Broadway are available now through the Idaho Falls Arts Council. Families are encouraged to buy tickets early, as seating is limited.
