Summer Market Days at Mountain America Center offers shopping, food and fun

IDAHO FALLS — Mountain America Center is hosting ‘Summer Market Days,’ which includes two days of shopping, delicious food trucks, live entertainment, and fun for the whole family.
The summertime celebration is free to enter and will be held on Friday, July 17, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. with an Alive After 5 event from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This is the second year Mountain America Center has held Summer Market Days. The first year brought in 50 to 60 vendors. This year is expected to be even bigger and better.
“All of our vendors are local, small business owners. We’ve got over 150 vendors this year, which is awesome,” said Brynlee Howell, Director of Marketing at Mountain America Center. “I like to explain it as a craft fair or kind of like a farmer’s market type of vibe.”
There is a wide variety of vendors.
Some include the following:
- Autumn Blush Boutique: keepsake t-shirts, quilts, and stuffed animals
- Castaway Ceramics: handmade, hand-painted ceramics
- Disturbed Findings: handmade voodoo dolls and junk journals
- Jane Dough: edible cookie dough
- Pearly Perfect: customizable hand-welded jewelry, permanent jewelry and earrings
- Thirsty Moose River: fishing gifts, camping toys, wind chimes, bird houses and candles
- Dandy Bakes: gluten-free bakes
- Wild Crystal Studio: flower and keepsake preservation in resin
- Way Maker Restorations: small wood working
- Vyne: houseplants with boxes to carry them out
There are plenty of food trucks too, like Rose Marie’s Gluten Free, Burger Smithy, The Corndog Company, and 208 Food Hub.
“It really just gives us an opportunity to give all of these small businesses a platform to showcase the amazing businesses that they own and run,” Howell said.

And since Mountain America Center is known for hosting concerts, Howell said they wanted to incorporate an element of live entertainment. There will be an outdoor stage for anyone who wants to showcase a talent such as singing, dancing, jump roping, or even magic tricks.
“Out on our Teton Auto Group Plaza, we have an outdoor stage where anyone local who has a talent is invited to sign up and perform on that stage free of charge,” Howell said.
Adventureland, powered by Bish’s RV and Toyota, will additionally be at Summer Market Days. There will be Toyota trucks and SUVs on display, RVs and trailers, kayaks, and paddleboards, a free basketball hoop trailer that will be there all day Friday, side-by-side off-road rides from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, and a 32-ft rock climbing wall on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Click here to learn more.
“It’s kind of like your outdoor escape. It’s a bunch of businesses that showcase what the great outdoors of Idaho has to offer,” Howell said.
New this year is a special edition “Alive After 5” event in partnership with the Idaho Falls Civitan Club.
“We are going to have the Space Kitties, a local band, performing on Friday the 17th, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. There’s going to be a bunch of food trucks out on the plaza for people to have dinner or a drink,” Howell said.
Howell added that they like to bring people through their doors so they can create lasting memories with their friends and family.
“It brings the community together and at the end of the day, that’s our favorite thing to do,” she said.
She encourages people to come out to Summer Market Days because they get to shop local and support small businesses and people in their own community.
“I can guarantee that you’re going to have a good time,” she said.
