BOISE (Idaho Statesman) — Police are trying to find the person who shot and killed a woman outside a West Boise home.
Boise Police and Boise Fire responded shortly before 6 a.m. Sunday to a reported shooting at a party happening at a home on the 3900 block of West Clement Road, according to a Boise Police Department news release.
They found an adult female gunshot victim on the front porch of the home, police said.
Police said first responders attempted life-saving measures, but she died from her injuries at the scene.
No other injuries were reported.
Police said evidence indicated that an unknown suspect drove by the party in a “sedan-style vehicle” and fired multiple gunshots at the home, which was being used as a short-term vacation rental.
“There were a large number of occupants inside of the home when officers arrived and the suspect’s identity and location were unknown,” police said. “Officers secured the area, evacuated the home, cleared each room, and contacted each witness on scene.”
Boise Police Violent Crimes Unit detectives asked that anyone who was at the home before or at the time of the shooting but left before officers arrived to contact Ada County Dispatch at (208) 377-6790.
