A frantic 911 call, two masked intruders, a gunshot heard by dispatchers, and a woman claiming she had just been shot during a terrifying home invasion — all claims that police quickly realized the story didn’t add up.

Tonight on “Courtroom Insider with Nate Eaton,” we examine the disturbing murder of Thomas Waddell, a beloved father and grandfather who had recently retired and was building a life with his girlfriend.

When officers entered their apartment, they found Waddell shot to death, wrapped in trash bags, duct tape and a comforter. Yet, nothing valuable appeared to be missing.

Guns and cash were untouched. There was no video of intruders escaping. And investigators discovered something even more troubling: Waddell may have been dead for more than 12 hours before his girlfriend called 911.

On this episode, you’ll hear the chilling 911 calls and watch what happens during the girlfriend’s hospital interrogation as detectives slowly dismantle her story. Plus, you’ll learn about a secret second boyfriend, a fake bank investigator scheme, a relationship built on lies, and the motive prosecutors say was behind it all.
