Woman hospitalized after car collides with semitruck

IONA — Idaho State Police are investigating a two-vehicle injury crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 26 and 55th East in Bonneville County.
The crash occurred at about 5:15 p.m. Tuesday, according to an ISP news release.
A grey 2012 Nissan Altima, driven by a 25-year-old woman from Ririe, was traveling eastbound on US-26 approaching the intersection of 55th East when a 2019 Kenworth Truck, driven by a 63-year-old man from Idaho Falls, attempted to turn westbound from North 55th East.
The two vehicles collided, according to the release.
The woman was transported to a local hospital via ground ambulance. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
