WATCH: Alleged sex offender collapses in court during hearing

PHOENIX — An alleged sex offender collapsed to the courtroom floor moments after learning he could potentially spend the next 100 years in prison.
The courtroom video obtained by EastIdahoNews.com shows 42-year-old Joshua James Lozano standing at a podium Friday during a hearing in Maricopa County, Arizona, when prosecutors explained the potential penalties he faces. Lozano suddenly appears unsteady before falling to the floor.
The hearing was immediately stopped as medical personnel rushed in to help him. Lozano was later returned to police custody.
Lozano, a hospital worker, is accused of 10 felony counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. Each count potentially carries a 10-year prison sentence and could be ordered to run consecutively, exposing him to as much as 100 years behind bars.
The case began after the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children alerted investigators to explicit material allegedly being accessed through Lozano’s internet service provider, according to court documents.
Authorities say they eventually traced an account, phone number and IP address to Lozano before arresting him.
Prosecutors asked that Lozano’s bond be set at $150,000. His attorney requested $50,000, asking the court to consider Lozano’s ties to the community.
The judge ultimately sided with prosecutors and set bond at $150,000.
Lozano is scheduled to return to court Sept. 21.
